Built in 1926 the concrete structure has a symmetrical stripped classical style facade typical of Masonic Lodges. The building was renovated and converted into a bar and restaurant in the early 2000’s. It housed The Aberdeen, a bar and restaurant which provided the true local dining experience. The Aberdeen was owned by Katapo Trading Limited and this business was also sold in the mid 2000’s.
2-12 Bannister Street, Masterton
Described as Mastertons “No1” corner. This property build in the 1950’s was formerly owned by Sir Robert Jones. The most prominent tenant Hannahs occupies the prime corner position on the Bannister St-Queen St
